Looking up at the Surface.

One of the most amazing feelings in the world is to be laying on your back, at the bottom of a pool, looking up at the surface of the water and watching your bubbles ripple to the top, all while breathing comfortably. I was able to experience this on Sunday. My first pool session for dive training went very well. I was comfortable moving and breathing underwater. I did everything that Scott (my instructor) asked me to and I was excited to learn what he had to teach me. More than that, my fiance was underwater in the same pool as I was. Talk about a confidence boost when as I am kicking by him he flashes me the “I love you” sign. What an amazing feeling. I highly recommend taking the classes and becoming certified to scuba dive. Even if you don’t do anymore diving in your lifetime, being able to look up at the surface from the bottom of a pool (while breathing) should be something that everyone is able to experience.

I have to admit, life is going pretty great right now. I have a warm house, an amazing dog to enjoy the fires I make, 2 little gerbils who astound me as to how much they chew, a car that gets great gas mileage, a Mom who is the best ever!, sisters who love me, a nephew that I get to watch grow and give kisses to (with a new one due any day!), an education that is blossoming beautifully, an open future, and (last listed but certainly not least) the most wonderful man ever – the one who I will soon be able to call my husband. I am such a lucky girl. Oh, I didn’t even mention how great of friends I have. Oh, and the fact that I get to coach Colorguard! My girls are the best!

So, with that being said, I don’t have much to complain about. Life is great. Soak it up while you can.
